  1. I’ve heard some good things about Love and Saffron. Have a great weekend and reading week!

  2. Love and Saffron sounds like my kind of book!

  3. I’ve been 100 the last few days. Supposed to be lower 90’s tomorrow.

    Enjoy the beach Friday.

    • It will really get warmed up here after our rainy/hurricane season. I can’t wait LOL!

Thanks, I’m sure I will, it’s my Happy Place!

  4. I love that sky picture! In the Kitchen sounds good. Food is a nightmare with my toddler at the moment! Hopefully it will get better when he starts school this September!

Have a great week next week!

    My post:

    • Thanks Emily, I thought the cloud looked funny. Thankfully my kids were never picky eaters.

I hope you’re having a great week too!

  5. Ooo, dramatic clouds indeed. Happy reading with your latest.

  6. I like the way you break up your week in simple categories and have something interesting to share in each. I might need to take a hint from your structure and simplify my post. Great cloud photo!
Happy Reading! Terrie @ Bookshelf Journeys

  7. Hope you enjoy your day and time at beach with daughter. I liked Love & Saffron; enjoy.

    • We love the beach but we always have a great time whenever/wherever we’re spending time together as I’m sure you do with your family,

  8. Enjoy your beach trip! Have a great week!

  9. LOL, the clouds do look like a monster on its hind legs! So annoying for an audio to be missing the first word of sentences… that would get me to DNF it, too. Hope you’re enjoying Love & Saffron. Have a great day at the beach!

    • I’ve bought quite a few books from Audlible that do that and it’s so annoying. Some the allow a refund, others they don’t. I don’t know why.

I am enjoying Love & Saffron, it’s different.

  10. Love the verse and the cloud picture. Have fun at the beach!!!

  11. Hope you had a relaxing afternoon yesterday after work! have fun at the beach!

The monster cloud pic is fun!

  12. Love Story is an oldie! I remember how everyone read the book and was enchanted by the movie.

Time at the beach always sounds great. Look at those temperatures! It was over 100 yesterday in Dallas. I was afraid my phone was going to overheat.

“Be still…” One of my favorites.

    • I love the movie, I could watch it over and over.

I don’t know what the high was but if it was 93 at 9:30 am I bet it was HOT later in the day. Our highest temps are around 4:00.

  13. Cool photo! I have Love and Saffron on my list. Hope to get to it soon.

  14. Beautiful photo!

I’m eager to get a copy of Love and Saffron. It sounds like my kind of book.

Your weekly menu looks like what I plan for this week. Easy, summer meals!

  15. Can I come over for grilled hot dog night?

    How was the beach?

That’s a bummer about the Puma book!

It’s so hot here I don’t even want to talk about it, but I’m in the AC all day so I’m not really complaining. LOL

    • You can come over anytime, and be sure to bring the 95 yr. old!

Haven’t gone to the beach yet, going Friday.

I don’t like when I buy an audio and it’s missing a lot of the words. I can figure out what word is missing but it’s still annoying as heck.

When I left work this morning my weather app said the feels like was 100°!

  16. I love reading these Sunday Salons. A life well lived is what I think.

I love your photos, great skies is what I think.

  17. Thank you Allen! I enjoy all your photos and traveling through your part of the US via your posts!
