  1. I love re-reading old books. I’ve read “Life on the Mississippi” by Mark Twain several times. I’ve read “Blue Highways” by William Least Heat Moon about five times. The last two times was consecutive. I read it, and then read it again.

I saw where Amazon is selling the kindle version of the James Michener’s “The Source” very inexpensively so I got it!!

  2. I used to read a lot of Danielle Steel in the early 1980s, I’d be curious what her more recent ones are like. Do you have a favorite recent one? I’m not doing this challenge – just 20 books of Summer but, I hope you enjoy this reread.

    • My two favorites from the last few years are Neighbors and Pure Joy which is a memoir of the dogs she and her children have had.

  3. I hope you enjoy the reread!

    • I hope I do too Mary. It’ would be a shame to have loved this book for so many years and then do a reread and be disappointed.

  4. I hope you enjoy the reread, Vicki. I’m planning to reread another Rosamund Pilcher this summer… it’s a big book, too, so I should consider signing up for the challenge.

    • Yes, you should. I joined because I needed a bit of motivation to read it without giving up because I’ve wanted to read it again for years and this reading slump is has gone on way to long.

  5. Fun! There is something really enjoyable about entering the world that exists in the pages of a chunky book and hanging out there for a while. 🙂

Hope you still love the book!

  6. I’m glad you’re joining this challenge. It’s a fun one and low pressure.

  7. Oh, I love big chunksters. I don’t think any on my summer list are huge books but quite certain some of more than 400 pages. I really wanted King to come out with a summer book but I shall wait for Fairy Tale this fall.

    • My version of Zoya is 446 pages. I used to read King as soon as they came out but haven’t in a long time. I need to check out his more recent books.
