Where would you go? Where do you want to go?

1. Is the farm for you? How about a ranch, a village or a city? Which is your choice and why?
The beach. My answer always has been and always will be the beach!

2. A short auto trip for the weekend with friends or a long vacation? Where would you go?
Can I choose both? I love doing both!

3. The quiet life at home with a cuppa and TV or a good book or a night out with friends? Which sounds good today?
I would choose tv and/or good book, not doing any night out with friends right now.

4. You have a choice of dinner and a movie or a game of cards and snacks at the neighbors. Where are you going tonight?
Game of cards and snacks at the neighbors! My next door neighbors are my son and daughter in law, and granddaughter πŸ™‚

  1. You have the best next door neighbors of all! I envy you having your granddaughter that close!

  2. My answers parallel yours: beach, short trip, TV/reading, game of cards. It all sounds wonderful!

  3. Not sure about the first one–definitely not a city, but maybe a village I haven’t been to yet or a town–we miss Ballina in Co Mayo–we haven’t been able to go for the past two years. Neither for the second question, but a few days away on the bus during the week is our thing. Cuppa and a book sounds good every day and neither for number four at the moment, although when we lived in other places, we would hang out with the neighbours πŸ™‚

Cool that your neighbours are your family!

  4. That’s a neat “quiz” and i love your answers!

  5. My answers are the same as yours except for #4 as my kiddos don’t live next door LOL

    • Maybe someday they’ll move next door πŸ™‚

We visited them for years and never for a second thought we’d live next door. But a few years ago the house came up for sell and my oldest son who lives next door told us about it and said we should buy it, so we did πŸ™‚

  6. Even without covid I’m a bit of an introvert so I would read on the beach. I’m good with a week’s vacation but then I start to miss my bed, surroundings, etc. Definitely a cuppa and a good book or podcast. I’d like dinner out with a very small group (no more than six). Reading my answers and deciding I’m a bit particular these days, LOL.

    • I am too, I don’t do many things that I did before Covid. I have still gone on a few weeks vacations since then, but we go places where we don’t have to be around a lot of people.

  7. Aw, how nice that you have close family living next door. At least you can see them during these challenging times.

  8. P.S. I clicked on my moniker to see if it took you to my site. I see it says my site is a security threat but I assure you it is not. I don’t know why that message appears. It’s a nuisance because it probably drives a lot of traffic away from my blog. *sigh

    • Many blogs get that message, including mine. It’s because there is either no http:// or www. or both. I always click advance if I’m pretty sure the blog is safe, and I have never had a problem with visiting the site.

I hope you have a great weekend!

  9. I’m with you – beach, night in with a book etc except for going over to my neighbors! They’re nice people and all but we aren’t that close!

    • I grew up in a neighborhood where everyone knew almost everyone, and the same was true in the 80’s and early 90’s. It seems that all changed during the 90’s though, which is very sad. I know a few neighbors where I live now (other than my son and family), but we rarely talk, mostly we just wave if we see each other outside.
