Falling by T.J. Newman
You just boarded a flight to New York.
There are 143 other passengers onboard.
What you don’t know is that 30 minutes before the flight, your pilot’s family was kidnapped. For his family to live, everyone on your plane must die.
The only way the family will survive is if the pilot follows his orders and crashes the plane.
Enjoy the flight.
This book had me hooked from the very first sentence. I actually paused the audiobook and just sat there thinking about what I had just heard. WOW! Best first line of any book I’ve ever heard/read. Seriously! I kept listening as long and as often as I could, I did not want to turn it off and turned it back on as soon as I had time to listen to it.
This book is full of everything that scares you about flying, (I love flying btw). My emotions were on high alert from the first sentence to the last word.
To be honest, It’s taken me a while just to start my review. I didn’t want to give any spoilers but also wanted to let you know my feeling about the book. For me the book was one intense moment after another, with very little down time between.
I read that this book was turned down by 40+ publishers before it got published, but when I read the synopsis it grabbed my attention enough that I still got a copy, and after finishing it I don’t understand why so many passed on it. I thought it was a 5* book from the beginning. If you check the Amazon reviews, 6% of the reviewers (last I checked) didn’t like it. I don’t understand that either. My suggestion is to read it for yourself and decide.
The book was narrated by Steven Weber (Wings sitcom) and he did a great job!
I loved this book and it will definitely be on my “Favorites Of 2021! This is Newman’s first book and I hope she writes another. If you haven’t read it yet, GET A COPY NOW!
