  1. Doesn’t that water look refreshing on a hot day!

  2. Beautiful picture! It’s hot and humid here too so that picture looks perfect!

  3. How Y’all Doing? sounds great. Hope you’ll share more soon.

I’d love to eat baby lima beans and cornbread. I haven’t had lima beans in such a long time.

That photo makes me want to jump into the river. It looks refreshing.

    • I’ll do a review of the book when I’m done with it.

I like field peas and snaps the most.

I didn’t jump in, it was going too fast. People were white water rafting there 🙂

  4. Blackbird sounds interesting, I hadn’t heard of it before. Hope you have a great week!

  5. Hi Vicki,

I love that picture; it reminds my of the time I went white water rafting in Maine (minus all those rocks LOL). I don’t take vitamins per se – just Vitamin D-3 and a fish oil supplement that was suggested by my doctor. If I don’t sleep at least 6 hours at night, I feel tired by afternoon as well – green tea helps but, I’m not sure whether you drink that.

Have a great week. BTW – I’m behind on my reviews as well; much more fun to read or listen than it is to review LOL

    • I think I may need to switch from a multivitamin-mineral to just the ones I’m low on. I haven’t gotten 6 hours of sleep in over 30 years. Usually it’s only 4-5, but my body has adjusted to it.

I’m behind on a few books, but that’s nothing unusual for me 🙂

  6. Hot and humid we can all live without! Hope you get to catch up on that reading. Have a great week

    • I like the high 60’s/low 70’s so being in the high 90′ or higher, especially when the humidity is high is rough! I have just finished another book so I really need to catch up on reviews. Thanks Louise, I hope you have a great week too.

  7. The First Ten Years sounds like a good listen. I’ll be curious to hear what you think when you’ve finished. Beautiful river photo, too!

    • The First Ten Years was a DNF for me 🙁

The river was so beautiful in person. There were people white water rafting and they were all having a blast!

  8. I love your photo! There’s a river in the mountains here that I like walking along, but I’ve been too busy this summer to visit it. Maybe in the fall when life calms down a little. Have a great week!

  9. You’re in my state! (Or you were when you took the picture!). My grandfather got in trouble for flying under a bridge on the Chattahoochie river when he was in pilot training during World War II. Anytime I hear the name I remember that story. Intrigued about The First 10 Years. Sounds like it could be a great story. Have a great week!

    • I love that story about your grandfather! He sounds like a fun person!

I didn’t finish The First 10 years, I may try it again later.

  10. Funny, I don’t do well with vitamins at all. I don’t absorb them due to my Celiac but they make me tired too. I think it’s because my body tries so hard to break them down.

We don’t have any water source like the one you shared near me. We have a man made lake but it’s in a bad area. So weird that they wouldn’t turn that lake town into a tourist hot spot. Instead it’s a trucker’s town. Bleh.

    • I was going to talk to my dr. at my check up appt. yesterday but she’s pregnant and due in two weeks and was in a hurry, I don’t think she was feeling good at all.

I agree, they should improve the area and turn it into a tourist spot.

  11. I haven’t read a Danielle Steel book since college! My best friend and I used to read them aloud to each other at night 🙂

  12. Did you shoot the hooch? I did and it was a lot of fun, even though I was flipped over twice and ended up being bruised up.

    • No I didn’t, we were on our way home and just stopped to check it out and take some photos. My oldest sister LOVED to go whitewater rafting and would travel hours to get to one of the best places in the U.S. to do that, Gauley River in West Virginia.

  13. Vicki, your river photo is fantastic! I hope you’re enjoying Pure Joy by Danielle Steel. 🙂

  14. Your river photo of the Chattahoochee River is marvelous. I just love big rivers with lots of rapids.

  15. We have seen the Chatahoochee river many times when we rode motorcycles. It’s a refreashing photo you posted, especially during this incredible heat.
The weekely menu looks good, especially the pulled pork and slaw.
We take vitamns every moring but it doesn’t make me tired. Not sure what that’s about. Maybe it’s the heat? That wears me out.

    • Nope, not the heat. I’m still tired/sleepy even if I don’t even go outside, and the days I didn’t take it to see if I’d get tired, I didn’t.
