  1. Oh, wow! Kaiyo and her monkey could not be any cuter!

An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good sounds like it could be funny!

  2. Your verse from the Bible is a familiar one as it’s used in a popular Hebrew song, traditionally sung at Shabbat.

  3. I can’t believe the FIRST Birthday is already here – seems impossible! But, then my granddaughters are already 7,7, and 9 – how does that happen when we stay the same age?? LOL

I loved the print version of An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good! The author has a new book coming out as well. Have a good week Vicki.

    • I know, time does fly! All of my grandkids are 18 & older now except the youngest, he’s 11.

Now I’m wondering if I should have gone with the print version. I may get it and do a read/listen. I’ll be looking for a copy of the new book.

  4. Happy birthday to your great-granddaughter! Wow. She’s already one.

All your books look great to me. I think I’ll see what I can find out about Before the Kids and Mortgage plus An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good. I’m waiting for Invisible Husband to come in for me at the library.

    Have a great week, Vicki!

  5. Wow, your great granddaughter is having her first birthday already?! Hope everyone enjoys the big day. I loved An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good in print, bet the audio is good, too. Kaiyo and the monkey are so cute!

  6. Kaiyo loves her monkey friend, a very cute photo. Have a great week Vicki.

  7. Birthday greetings to your great-granddaughter!

  8. I’m glad to see you enjoyed The Invisible Husband of Frick Island! It was such a sweet book — a great summer read. Enjoy your week!

    • I loved it so much I decided to move An Elderly Lady Is Up to No Good to the top of my list and started it today, have you read it

  9. Cute Kaiyo!!!

Can’t believe the g-grandbaby is 1 and look forward to pictures.

Bookmarking casser-ole! I love casseroles, especially ones with cute names!

    • Kaiyo is my baby, along with my two cats 🙂

I can’t believe she’s 1 either! Time sure does fly.

I love casseroles too and don’t know why I don’t make them more often.

  10. Happy birthday to your great granddaughter! Have a good week!

  11. I have come to the realization that I just don’t like lime. I’ve heard so many reaves about different limeades but I’m never a fan. I do like Key Lime pie but that’s the only exception. Happy birthday to your great-granddaughter!

I was so glad to see you’re a fan of the Daily Woo too! I’ve been loving his latest videos. Have a great week!

    • I don’t like lime either but I thought the strawberry would tame it down some but it didn’t. I like Key Lime Pie too 🙂

      Thanks for Jensen’s Happy Birthday!

I really like The Daily Woo.

      Have a good week!

  12. Happy Birthday to your great-granddaughter. We’re having the same weather you are. I enjoyed The Invisible Husband of Frick Island.

I hope you have a great week!

  13. Awww Kaiyo is so cute!!!

And ugh, I hate those “feels like” temps. Like the actual temp isn’t bad enough! Lol.

    • Thanks Erin! Kaiyo is a sweetie!

The “feels like” temps helps me understand why it’s so much hotter than the actual temp. The humidity makes it so much hotter.

  14. My son’s birthday is on the 16th too. Happy birthday to both!

  15. Happy Birthday to your great granddaughter! And there is a pickled flavor Slim Jim??? My daughter is obsessed with pickles and loves Slim Jims. I may have to hunt these down for her haha!

    • Thanks Cheryl! I was shocked when I saw a pickle flavored Slim Jim, but really excited too since I’ve loved dill pickles and Slim Jim since I was a child. We found them at Buc-cees when we were recently on vacation, but haven’t seem there where I live. I checked Amazon they had them.

  16. Oh Kaiyo is just so cute. I have been feeling drawn to puppies lately, but it just isn’t realistic for us to get one right now. Sigh.

  17. I can’t believe it’s been a year since Jensen was born! Wow, this year got away from me. Happy birthday to a pretty girl. Love the photos you post.
By the way, Loki is the same about a toy if his, just like Kaiyo he has a favorite and he sleeps with it.

Love the idea of the enchiladas.

    • The year did go by really fast. Actually, when I was a kid the days seemed longer. Then when I got older they seem to go so quickly.

I think the toy’s give them a lot of comfort after the horrible things they went through.

My mom made a different version of enchiladas when I was growing up and they were so good. I’ll have to make them and post the recipe sometimes.

  18. That picture of Kaiyo is so cute! Hope your little great grand daughter had a wonderful birthday! Hope your week has been off to a great start.

  19. Oh my gosh, Kaiyo!! Too cute.

We have been a tiny bit humid here and thunderstorms are expected for this weekend. Rain would be great but lightning would not be good with these dry hillsides.

    • Thanks, I think she’s cute too 🙂

I’m not a fan of humidity at all. My animals don’t like thunder and lightening at all.

I’ve been reading about the fires out west, it’s like a bad nightmare that won’t stop! Praying it pours rain and puts them all out.

  20. I think my husband has Community on repeat. He loves that show. I really liked The Invisible Husband of Frick Island too. Such a good book! Kaiyo is so adorable with the little monkey. 🙂 I hope you have a great weekend and week ahead!
