  1. Jensen is getting big! Love the sound of chicken and dumplngs.

    • Jensen is starting to “talk”, roll over, be more alert, and sleep less. She is smaller in person than she looks in photos. My mom made the best chicken and dumplings I’ve ever had. Wish I had all of her recipes!

  2. Great review of Anxious People. It took me longer than expected to get into it, but I stuck with it and am at 50% now… so quirky and good! Jensen is adorable!

  3. I almost started listening to the Hoda Kotb book recently, but decided to do so at a later date. It’s in the e-audiobook section of the library, so it’ll be there when/if I feel like listening.

    Jensen is a cutie pie.

  4. Jensen is such a doll Vicki. I remember those adorable sleepers when my 40-somethings were infants 🙂

  5. I love Jensen’s little sleep bag. I haven’t had to nap my new grandson at my house yet, but I look forward to digging out the nap bag. My Sunday Salon post with a focus on faith

  6. New kitchen appliances can be such a joy! Actually, any gadgety thing that works better than the old version makes me happy.

  7. A cute photo, looks like Jensen had a tiring day. 🙂

  8. I ordered recently from Pampered Chef, too. Comfort in these times to have beautiful supplies for cooking. My order was delayed. Hope it comes in soon.

I’m eager to read Anxious People. Of course now the line for it is out the door.

Look at that beautiful baby. Adorable.

    Have a lovely week!

    • I actually ordered twice, my daughter hosted a party and then my niece did so I ordered from both of them. Both orders were delayed but one finally came in. Still waiting on the second one.

I loved Anxious People, I hope you do too!

  9. Oh, what a beautiful pic of Jensen. That little rosebud mouth…I’ve watched Fried Green Tomatoes several times. One of my favorite movies.

  10. Jensen is darling! I love babies, especially when they start cooing.

Ah, chicken and dumplings is a family favorite. I need to make some next week after we get back from our camping trip. It’s a perfect meal for this cool weather.

    • My mom made the best chicken and dumplings I’ve ever tasted. I really miss her’s. I used to go camping all the time growing up with my family and with the Girl Scouts. Then my mom and dad bought a cabin on a lake and I loved going there. I miss it.

  11. Jensen is so adorable! Thank you for sharing your photo. I have a few items from the Pampered Chef, which I bought any years ago. They last forever. The Taco Bell Power Bowls look fantastic. Have a terrific week ahead, Vicki!

  12. Oh my heart! Jensen is so adorable! I’m debating an air fryer in the kitchen appliance/gadget world. I feel like I need one! Hope you’re having a great week.

  13. Jensen is growing so fast!

I love most Crock Pot meals. I’ve tried to make dumplings gluten free and have had some success but they aren’t cost effective. Lots of specialty flours needed.

It’s feeling like fall here but not due to the weather. All we notice is a change in the quality of light. I feel that now. It’s making me want to cook all the fall comfort foods though.

  14. Jensen is so cute!!! Love her little jammies.

Did the dumplings turn out as “light and fluffy” as the recipe claims. A lot of restaurants here in Arkansas have chicken & dumplings on the menu but the little dumplings are more like chewy noodle blobs. Yuck!

What fun stuff did you get from Pampered Chef? I’m trying to talk myself into spending $19.99 to get pink silicone oven mits from Amazon that I saw mentioned on Cupcakes & Cashmere blog.

    • Thanks Jinjer, we think she’s cute too 🙂

No, the dumplings didn’t turn out light and fluffy, but they were still ok. My mom made the best chicken and dumplings I’ve ever had so nothing lives up to them 🙁

Pampered Chef is very expensive but their items last forever. I bought a pizza stone, Mini Serving Spatula, Soft Pretzel-Making Set, Mix ‘N Chop, and a Brown Sugar Keeper Set.

I live with my son and we both have a huge addiction to Amazon.

  15. Jensen is adorable!!
