Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
FIRST CHAPTER:
A bank robbery. A hostage drama. A stairwell full of police officers on their way to storm an apartment. It was easy to get to this point, much easier than you might think. All it took was one single really bad idea.
TEASER:
“Dad? The phone that we sent in for the perpetrator, where did we find it when we came in?” Jack suddenly asks.
“It was there on that little table,” Jim says.
“That explains it,” Jack sighs.
“Explains what?”
“We’ve been thinking about this wrong all along.”
Nice teaser. I’ve been really curious about this book. Hope you are enjoying it. My teaser is from Stoker’s Wilde West https://razzberrycoloredglasses.blogspot.com/2020/09/teaser-tuesday-stokers-wilde-west-by.html
I’ve liked every book I’ve read by Backman and this is good too.
Oooh, this sounds good! It reminds me a little bit of My Grandmother Told Me To Tell You She’s Sorry.
I loved that book!
Great teasers! Sounds like a good book.
So far so good and I expect it will get better as it goes.
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about this book. I’ve heard some good things from others. Now let’s see what you think.
I should be posting my review soon.
Sounds entertaining and like quite a lot is going on! I’m one of the weird people who have had mixed results with Backman’s books so I’m curious to see what you think of it.
I loved A Man Called Ove, Bear Town, and a few other of his books but I stopped reading Us Against You just a few chapters in. I may try it again sometime.
