Jaspurr says that 2020 is giving her a headache
I’M WITH JASPER! Enough of 2020 already LOL
Me too Diane!
I’ve been grilling more lately and enjoying tomatoes from my garden. I’m hoping for more outdoor walks as our weather cools. It was 64° this morning 😀
That’s a great temp. to walk in! It’s too hot and humid to walk outside where I live. Today is only 76° but of course it’s because it’s raining.
I find myself giving up on books and even movies more easily than I used to. So many great things out there that there’s no point in wasting time if something’s not working.
It took me many many years to get that through my head but now I give up if I’m really not enjoying the book. I was really looking forward to this book but didn’t like all the sexual references in the very beginning, it’s just not something I want to read. I’ve said for years that books should have a rating like movies do.
I’m a big fan of road trip type books so without all that I probably would have loved the book 🙁
I will listen to an audiobook longer than I will read a book I’m not enjoying. The recipes I have in my wrap up post today aren’t low carb – they are for cake!
I love audiobooks a lot more than print. I think the voices bring a book to “life”.
You are in luck! I just posted a review for a low carb recipe book the other day along with a free recipe On my blog, and if you google CSIRO+low carb+recipe you will find more recipes to try.
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks for letting me know Shelleyrae! Going now to check it out!
I tried a new recipe last night for lemon chicken piccata meatballs, which were delicious! I served them with orzo, but I’ll bet they’d be good with just a simple salad. I’ll share the recipe later today or next weekend.
We watch a lot of tv series and our current favorite is Bosch. It’s pretty gritty, but we like detective dramas. I’m still watching This Is Us, but my husband doesn’t like it, so I only watch every so often. We’re looking forward to The Crown, which starts back up in November. Yay!!!
I LOVE This is Us! Haven’t heard of The Crown, I’ll look for it.
Jaspurr and I are on the same wavelength. I wish the year would be over, but that’s only if I can get an in-writing promise that 2021 will be much, much better.
Right now, we are enjoying The Good Place. I was excited to find out that the fourth season is coming out on video soon, and I will be able to check it out from the library.
I do hope you are able to visit your family in Ohio soon.
Have a great week!
I’m not so sure about 2021 being any better, but I’m praying it will be.
I tried watching The Good Place but couldn’t get into it.
We had plans to go to Ohio in the fall but I don’t think that’s going to happen 🙁
Like us all, Jaspurr wants 2020 to end! It’s a nightmare.
Yes it is!
What a cute picture of Jaspurr. If you find some good low car recipes please share. I’m not necessarily on a low carb diet but anything that’s healthy and yummy, I’d like to check it out! Hope you have a great week ahead!
I’m not really on a low carb diet either but I just want to eat a little healthier for some meals.
Jaspurr is so cute! I wandered through Powell’s bookstore a couple of weeks ago and they had a photography book that featured only cats’ paws! I loved it!
My favorite TV show varies depending on my mood. I’ll go with Doc Martin today.
Enjoy your week!
I’d like to see that book! I loved Doc Martin!
I’m with Jaspurr! We’ve just started Dead to Me on Netflix
I think the whole world is with Jaspurr 🙂
Never heard of it but I’ll check to see what it’s about.
We’ve been cooking a lot of quinoa or couscous with chickpeas/garbanzo beans and veggies (we’re vegetarian). All good sources of protein with not a lot of carb.
I love all those foods! They make a very good salad!
Jaspurr is adorable.
I am watching Cobra Kai on Netflix. It’s the sequel to the Karate Kid but told via a series of episodes and seasons. It’s got the original people in it. It’s really very good and watchable. We sat through season one this weekend without realizing we finished it.
I haven’t seen that, I’ll check it out.
Vicki,
Lovely Bible verse. Jaspurr is such a cutie!
I hope your week ahead is a good one.
Thanks, Jaspurr was abandoned and my son found her in a field and brought her home. I was supposed to hand feed her until she got weened and then let my son find her a forever home. By then it was too late, she was mine!
TV as in regular TV or do you include streaming services like Netflix in your question?
If you are talking just basic, straight-up, TV, the ones I watch are This Is Us, Every Little Thing, The Walking Dead, Killing Eve, and The Good Doctor. Oh and that new show that was here but went away and I pray to God it comes back. The Genetic Detective.
If you are including streaming services, there are too many favorites to mention so I’ll just mention my MOST RECENT added to the favorites list: Search Party (HBO Max).
The only shows I watch of those are A Million Little Things and The Good Doctor. I’ll check the others out.
Oops. I meant A Million Little Things, not Every Little Thing. Good lord…where is my mind?
LOL! I figured it out 🙂
There is nothing like a sleeping kitty.
I stopped reading about four books this week when I realized that I didn’t really like them. Life is too short for uninteresting books.
In this day and time, I love the verse.
I thought it was rather fitting.
Jaspurr is definitely not alone 🙂
Definitely not
