A Favorite Bible Verse…
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

From the camera…

I can’t wait until I can go back to this beach
It’s one of my favorites
I’ve never seen more than a handful of people there
It’s one of the closest beaches to me

  1. The baby must be content to wait. I know the mo other is more than ready to deliver!
Chicken ala King sounds good, I am trying to do some meal planning.

  2. Happy Sunday! We spent some family time at a local park and we all feel a little more connected. Jason is going to work from home again this week since our Covid numbers keep rising so much (although not as much as yours) that masks are now required.

  3. Look at that beautiful beach. I miss the beaches so much. I am not sure when our beaches will be a safe place to visit. Certainly not this Fourth of July weekend!

Hope the baby will arrive soon. My niece is expecting a baby in October and her first baby arrived very, very early (24 weeks, in the ICU for months, but now doing beautifully) so we are praying for this little fellow to stick closer to the timetable set for him.

Blackeyed peas and cornbread. Now that’s a good meal!

    Enjoy this weekend.

  4. The beach looks beautiful and I’m so missing it right now. I hope the baby comes soon and you have a great week.

  5. That baby sure is taking her time, lol! Looks like some good meals at your house last week. 🙂

  6. We went to the beach, too. But Washington Coast beaches look nothing like yours. Grey and windswept would be my descriptors. Have a fun week. My Sunday Salon post

  7. That beach looks lovely! My daughter and I walked to the beach this morning, but there were too many people so we turned right around again.

  8. The beach looks so inviting. All the foods in your kitchen sound so good. Have a great week!

  9. A beautiful looking beach, the beaches are always a place I love to spend time at.

  10. I love the beach pic – didn’t get there this year but I’m hopeful for next year. Sending good wishes for the baby’s arrival!

  11. Such a beautiful photo of the beach. It looks so peaceful. I guess I’m going to have to try that grilled cheese burrito from Taco Bell after all.

  12. Happy Sunday, Vicki! I went to the beach on Friday. It was beautiful to see but there wasn’t enough sand to run or walk on. I look forward to your review of The Unhoneymooners. I share your excitement for the new baby and wish you all the best. Have a great week ahead!

    • I’ll get my review up soon. I was going to read it last year but other books got in the way. I’m loving it! Thanks so much Susan, I’ll post about her arrival when she makes her appearance!

  13. It’s too cold for the beach here right now it’s midwinter, not that it stops my youngest son from going.

Wishing you a great reading week

  14. I hope you like Dirtbag!

I NEED that grilled cheese burrito and the chicken ala king!

That baby has a lot of people excitedly waiting!!!

    • Dirtbag is very good! That man is amazing!

The Grilled Cheese Burrito was so good that I got another one the next day!

Yes she does, I can’t wait for her to get here!

  15. That beach is lovely. Look at that blue sky.

All your food sounds good. I am without inspiration these days and don’t care anymore. Tired of cooking and meal planning.

We watched a movie on Netflix after seeing the trailer. It was just like that other movie The Quiet Place but this one, The Silence had Stanley Tucci and John Corbett in it. I liked it but my husband thought it was lame. Of course, we watched Hamilton. SO much better than I could have even imagined.
