Arby’s Grilled Chicken and Pecan Salad for lunches
Haven’t made a weekly menu yet so I’m not sure what else

New To Me Stuff:
My boss was telling me about a store she loves, World Market, and so I went there yesterday to check it out. They have a big selection of products and I really liked the store. I’ll be going again

Today’s To Do List…
Work this morning and then maybe get my new bird feeder set up, try to finish my current read, find another movie to watch

Looking forward to…
Having Tuesday off because so far I have nothing that I have to do and it’s rare that I get a day off that I can just stay home and relax

A Favorite Bible Verse…
Rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer
Romans 12:12

From the camera…

Not so patiently waiting until I can go to the beach again

  1. I’m very interested in setting up another bird feeder. I’ve been looking online. I’d like to wait until I can visit Wild Birds Unlimited. I’ve been wanting to browse that store, but I don’t shop right now except online.

I wonder what I’d think about Zoo Story. It sounds fascinating, and it sounds like something I should read.

Grilled Chicken and Pecan Salad? Sounds delicious.

    • I recently bought a new bird bath but I want to get another one soon.

I love the Grilled Chicken and Pecan Salad Sandwich from Arby’s. It’s so good!

  2. Long Lost Son sounds a little emotional for me right now. I’m trying to watch light stuff but we keep it on my list. Thanks. The beaches in Miami Dade County have opened and yes it was a long wait, unfortunately, we left Florida the day they opened. That World Market link looks good. Thanks

  3. I love World Market…I’ve found so many bookshelves and other things there. Enjoy!

    • I can’t believe It’s the only one in my area, about 30 min. away, in a strip mall. I go to the movie theater, Ulta, Best Buy and a few other stores there so I’m surprised I’d never been to it before.

  4. Cool beach photo. I just got a bird feeder yesterday. So far, no birds have found it. I hope you have a great week!

    • Thanks!

Sometimes it takes a few days or weeks for them to start visiting it. Usually depends on how many wild birds and bird feeders are in the area.

  5. I like this post format. And it covers everything for a weekly wrap. All the best on your to do list.

  6. Enjoy your day off! I hope it is wonderful and that you’ll get to meander through the day doing exactly what you feel like doing. 🙂

    • I sure hope so! Most of the time when I think I’ll get to have a day to at the house to do nothing but read, watch tv or whatever, something comes up 🙁

  7. I just discovered World Market when we moved down here… would like to visit again eventually. The chicken salad looks delicious. I made some last week very similar, but without the grapes. Think I’ll ad some next time. Hope you don’t have to wait too much longer to get to the beach. Enjoy your day off!

    • I bought one of Arby’s chicken salad sandwiches last week and loved it so I googled the copycat recipe. I had green apples but no red ones so I bought a few red ones, some red grapes, and some pecans. I plan on making it in the next day or two.

I can’t wait to get to the beach, I’m going through major withdrawal.

  8. Nice beach scene, ooks peaceful.

  9. We went to the beach a few weeks ago but the Washington State coast makes it easy to social distance and still enjoy the wind and waves. No threat of sharing COVID in that environment. My Sunday Salon post

  10. I like World Market! Enjoy your Tuesday off this week!

  11. I have a hard time with zoos because I don’t like to see animals in captivity even though I understand that sometimes to save a certain species they must keep them in captivity before letting them go back to the wild.

I love Romans 12:12 too. So appropriate for our times.

    Enjoy your reading week!

    • I have a hard time with animals being in a zoo too, especially elephants who always seem to be a little stir crazy. But I think they would rather see all the people who visit them more than only getting to see the people who feed them etc.

  12. Beautiful picture! I haven’t been to Arby’s in a long time.

  13. World Market is fun; it’s got such a funny mixture of things from clothes to international foods to party decorations. I haven’t been in a while though.

  14. Vicki,

    LOVE the beach photo!

We lost our local World Market store recently. I used to really enjoy shopping there.

We watched the powerful movie Harriet over the weekend. Have a terrific Tuesday-off and week ahead!

  15. I’m so jealous of people who have a World Market near by them! I’m not sure why we don’t because there are areas that are much smaller that have one. I see people finding such fun stuff there! I went on an Arby’s binge last month though I was more on the beef and cheddar with curly fries then the salad. Your version sounds much healthier! I’m with you on missing the beach. We got used to living close to the beach very quickly and are missing it so much now!

    • WM is in a nearby town but it’s only a 30 min. drive. Before I moved I had to drive 30-45 min. to get to a grocery store or anything. Glad I don’t have to do that anymore 🙂

I usually get the beef and cheddar with curly fries but whenever they have the chicken salad I go for that.

  16. I love a good chicken salad recipe.

We call them Cost Plus World Markets out here. Fun store. Lots of imported items. I love their coffee selection as well as all their housewares and linens for the table. My kids used to love their candy selection because they have candy from all over. Vintage stuff but also Japan, India, you name it.

    • The actual name here is Cost Plus World Markets also, but everyone just calls them World Market.

Their inventory was a bit down because of what’s going on but they still have a big selection of stuff from everywhere.

  17. I like World Market but with the shutdowns I haven’t been for a long time. We have found cool placemats and glassware there. The coffee selection is good and loads of international foods.
