Last week I was searching for a new series to binge watch and found The Durrells in Corfu on Prime Video. This series is based on Gerald Durrells book trilogy. I finished the series yesterday, which was short at only 4 seasons, and I loved it! I plan on watching What the Durrells Did Next soon, and reading his books.

From the camera…
When I watched season 1 of The Durrells in Corfu I wasn’t sure I liked it but it definitely grew on me and I was sad when it was all over. I liked What the Durrells Did Next as well. If you haven’t watched Call the Midwife, Poldark, Victoria, or World on Fire they are all very good too.
I liked the Durrells from the first few minutes which is rare for me. I was sad when it ended too, I wanted a lot more seasons 🙁
I haven’t seen any of the shows you mentioned so thank you! I will check them out later today.
We loved the Durrells. The family was intriguing, I thought. I read the first Durrells book long ago, and I read the second one while we were watching the series. I haven’t gotten to the third book yet.
I second Donna’s suggestion of Poldark and Call the Midwife. I will have to look for Victoria and World on Fire.
I wrote down a lot of quotes from I Really Needed This Today. Here’s one: “Never be defined by your past. It was just a lesson, not a life sentence.”
Love that quote!
Looks like the cat found a comfortable and soft place to nap. 🙂
Yes, she loves my dog! Her and the other cat tolerate each other but that’s about it.
I’m looking for a new series. I’ll look into The Durrells in Corfu – thanks Call the Midwife was one of all-time favorites! I use everything but the bagel on WW bagels that I make; my friend uses it on salmon as her seasoing.
I don’t like salmon but after reading your comment I might try it on other things.
What kind f dog do you have? He looks like our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Happy reading. My Sunday Salon post
She’s a Japanese Chin. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel’s are so cute!
Ah what a wonderful event to look forward to – the new baby! Hope you have a wonderful time at the shower.
The shower was great, I even won 3 prizes!
Oh a new baby! How awesome. And July 4 is a good day to be born. That’s my bday. Lol. I love the photo of the cat snuggling to the dog. How sweet! Your menu plans sound good. I love meatloaf. I use to make this little ones in a cupcake pan and they were so good. And pea salad sounds really good. I love peas. Hope you have a wonderful week!
The mommy doesn’t think she’ll last until July 4th, but I hope she does. I think having a birthday on that day would be awesome. My dog was born on Dec. 31st and I tell her the whole country is celebrating her birthday. Yes…I talk to my dog 🙂
Lovely furry friends shot Vicki. A great grand baby – how wonderful. Have a good week.
Thanks Diane, I hope you have a good week too!
It’s so nice to have a baby coming to look forward to!
I’M SO EXCITED!!!
First off congrats on the upcoming ing great grandchild! A holiday birthday will be fantastic. My Nana was born on on July 4th and when I was little she told me the fireworks were to celebrate her day. Ha.
I have that Trader Joe everything bagel and its great. I can sprinkle it on top of bread before it bakes.
As always I love photos of your pets.
I just commented above that my dog was born on Dec. 31 and I tell her the whole country is celebrating her birthday. Do you talk to Aja?
I enjoyed watching the Durrells.
Enjoy the baby shower.
Wishing you a great reading week
The baby shower was awesome! They got so many nice things!
We love that bagel seasoning in my house. We love it on avocado toast.
I love avocado on anything. Well, maybe not anything. Don’t think I’d want it on spaghetti 🙂
Love the cuddling kitties. I miss having one around the house, but right now we travel too much to make it a comfortable life for a cat. – Margy
I have 2 cats and a dog. I’d like to get another dog to make it even.
I hope you had a great time at the baby shower! Just a few weeks until you get to meet the new little person!
I had a great time! The mommy doesn’t think she’ll wait that long, but we’ll see.
Ahhhh The Durrells was one of my favorite shows, ever. Especially the first couple of episodes when Margo was super Margo-y.
What time should I come over for BBQ meatloaf minis????
I have that Everything But the Bagel seasoning except mine is Walmart’s own brand since we don’t have a Trader Joes. It’s soooo good, isn’t it? Word to the wise – it burns in the oven so if you get adventurous and want to put it on chicken or something, do it after it comes out of the oven.
Your cats are too cute!!!
The Durrells wasn’t nearly long enough. I was so sad when it ended. It wish it would have had a lot more seasons.
I’ll let you know when to come over for BBQ meatloaf minis, I haven’t made then yet.
Thanks for the Everything Bagel tip about chicken. I didn’t know that.
