Katherine posted 5 Classic movies she wants to watch and now I want to watch 2 I’ve never seen:
White Heat (1949)
Key Largo (1948)

And since I’m now in the mood for classic movies, I also want to watch
Witness for the Prosecution (1957)
An Affair to Remember (1957)   my all time favorite classic,

I’ve been eating to many carbs and not many veggies lately so I want to change that.  When I lived out in the country I bought water in 20 oz. bottles (because we had a well) and I could easily keep track of how much water I was drinking. Since we moved and have city water I didn’t want to keep buying water so at the beginning of last month I bought a water bottle with time markers and a Fruit Infuser to make sure I’m getting enough water, and I love it!

In The Kitchen…
Taco Salad
Fish, baked beans, cole slaw
Air Fryer pork chops, applesauce, green beans
Sausage, eggs, toast
Tiller & Hatch Italian Style Stew with Chicken

New To Me Stuff:
I didn’t try anything new last week

Today’s To Do List…
Staying home and relaxing

Looking forward to…
It’s been almost a year since Man With A Plan aired and I’ve been missing it and wondering if it was going to be renewed. A few days ago I saw that it will be back on April 2nd, and I can’t wait! That show is hilarious!

A Favorite Bible Verse…
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Romans 12:12

Very important with what’s going on in the world right now

  1. The old movie Key Largo is a good one. If our library was still open I’d ask for it!
We are rural and used to have a well but are on county water for quite awhile now. I’m always Bri gong my travel mug of water in the car, wherever we go.

Love that photo from your Ohio trip.
Since I’m home most of the, even before the virus precautions, I have started walking more. Other than not getting my “library fix” and our weekly lunch out, nothing has changed much or us. But being over 60 we are staying home more now.

    • There are 100 cases here the last time I checked. I’m staying home other than going to work. I’m working for Advent Health in a Rehab Center/Nursing Home. I do spend some time out with the patients and CNA/Nurses but I’m staying positive. I didn’t want the flu shot and employees who didn’t get it are required to wear a face mask, so I’ve been wearing one for a few months already.

It’s crazy how fast this has spread and that everything is closing and being cancelled. I don’t think I’ll ever understand the frenzy of buying tp though. Thankfully we just got our 2 month subscription of tp, pt, & laundry supplies. And I always have a stash of Bath & Body Works purse sanitizers.

      Stay healthy!

  2. We stopped buying bottled water a couple of weeks ago, and bought insulated bottles that we carry around with us. Good luck with your plan to drink more water. We are hoping to do that, too.

I love classic movies, too. We should have a movie marathon around here.

    • We bought bottled water for over 20 years, we could have taken a nice long vacation to another country with all that money! Now I have a few PUR Ultimate Pitchers in my fridge etc.

  3. My to do list for today is the same as yours 🙂 Not much planned for this Sunday. That’s a great picture! Thanks for sharing it. Have a great week!

    • We were going to go to Lowe’s and get a few chairs for outside for when I go out in the evenings and read while my dog soaks up the sun, but I really don’t want to go out in the midst of people. I already have a few outside chairs so I’ll just use one of them until this virus is over.

  4. I enjoyed With the Fire on High and hope you’re liking it too.

  5. I’m listening to a book on Natalie Wood so I want to watch a bunch of classic movies now too. Have a great week and stay safe!

  6. Wow, that’s quite hot weather, although maybe not for where you are 🙂

Your plan to stay home and relax sounds like a good one! Enjoy!

    • I’m in Florida, so that’s not very hot 🙂

I stayed home and did laundry, dishes, cooked, read, reorganized my bedroom drawers and watched tv. It was a very good weekend!

  7. I’ve been enjoying some classic movies this weekend too. That and trying to relax given the news. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

    • The news is causing a lot of people to freak out and/or get stressed out. I’ve always washed my hands many times a day and I’m not going anywhere other than work. The only thing I’m struggling with is touching my face. I never realized how often I do it.

  8. I think you’ll love White Heat and Key Largo. They’re both fabulous and I’m looking forward to having my husband watch them with me soon. Yay for eating better and getting more water. I need to do both. Have a great week!

    • I didn’t end up watching any movies yesterday. I thought I’d go through my bedroom drawers and reorganize them and throw stuff out that I don’t need or want anymore and that led to something else, and then something else and …

You hope you have a great week too Katherine!

  9. I like the old black & white movies on the Turner Channel. What Ever Happened to Baby Jane is crazy good.

We’ve been staying home (I do miss eating out) but, we’ve stocked up on pet foods, staples etc and, enjoying nice walks and audio books while walking.

  10. I need to step back in time and watch an old classic. I love old movies! Right now Jason ans Gage are watching Back to the Future 3, lol.

  11. A few years ago I found a list of some sort with the top 100 movies or maybe it was best picture of the year for the past 100 years or something, so I set out to watch them all. I got them on VHS or DVD from the library. It was a lot of fun.

It’s in the 60s-70s here now and I have planted all the cool crops in the garden. We will be home the next 3 weeks and I’m looking forward to doing things without distractions.

Stay safe and healthy! Enjoy some great reads!

Anne – Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post

    • I’ve thought about watching the movies on the “Best Pictures Of” but with so many it seemed very daunting.

I moved about a year ago and want to plant a garden. Where I lived for the last 30 years the yard was mostly sand so I didn’t plant anything. Now people are making raised beds. To bad I didn’t know about them all those years.

I’m not going anywhere other than work.

  12. I haven’t heard of Man with a Plan. I’ll have to check that out!

  13. I like classic musicals, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Oklahoma, Singin in the Rain etc.

Wishing you a great reading week, and good health

  14. Wow, it’s warm where you live. I think 61 is the warmest it’s been so far this year. I hope you have a great week!
