Outside…
Right now it’s 72° with an expected high of 81°, sunny,  light clouds and the birds are singing

Thankful…
Last month I went to Ohio with my two sons and daughter in law. I got to see family members I hadn’t seen in years and it was so good to see them again. I showed my sons and daughter in law where we lived at the lake when I was growing up, showed them where we lived when I took my sons home from the hospital, the hospital where they were born, etc. And for the first time since I left Ohio in 1986 I saw snow and made a snowball and had my favorite sandwich that I’ve been craving since I left. Right after I got home I went on a cruise with my daughter and youngest grandson and we had so much fun! We got home the day after my birthday and my kids surprised me with a new desktop computer that I absolutely love! Earlier in the month I found out I’m going to be a great-grandma! It was the best months of my life! I’m so grateful for my family!

Watching…
Last night I was searching for something to watch on Netflix and found Virgin River  and decided to check out the first episode to see if I liked it. I did. So much that I watched the whole first season before turning the tv off and I can’t wait for season two. The show is based on the book series of the same name by Robyn Car. There are 18 books in the series so I’m not sure I’ll even start it

  1. Aw. The best month of your life! I am so happy for you. You have so many blessings.

It sounds like you have good reasons for not keeping up with reviews. It’s okay, I think. It will all get done.

    Have a lovely week.

  2. What a great month for you. I’m glad everything brings lots joy to your heart.
Have a wonderful evening and don’t worry bout those reviews. 🙂

  3. Congratulations on the upcoming new addition to your family! I’m so happy for you that you had such a fabulous month! The lake is beautiful.

  5. What an awesome month! That is wonderful you could go back to Ohio and then on to the cruise. I watched the first three episodes of Virgin River this weekend. Trying to slow down because it could be a while before the next season, I’m guessing. I loved the entire series of books and so far love the casting. Wasn’t sure about Jack when I heard he’s from Australia (I think). He’s won me over 🙂

    • My youngest son and I are planning on going back to Ohio in the fall and I can’t wait!

I didn’t know Jack was from Australia (or somewhere else). I love this show and can’t wait for season 2!

  6. What a fantastic month you had full of travel, family, and exciting news! How fun to go back to Ohio after such a long time. I was born in Michigan, but have only been back once, but I loved seeing where I was born, where my parents lived, etc.

    • I’ve been back a few times over the years but never when there was snow. I went to see the hospital where I was born the last time so this time I showed my sons where they were born. Sadly, my daughter wasn’t able to go.

  7. The lake is very beautiful! I’m glad you had such a wonderful month, Vicki. I want to go to IKEA–if only we had one a bit closer! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

  8. I’m delighted that you enjoyed a spectacular month with travel, nostalgia, and welcome family news.

Wishing you a great reading week

  9. SO happy this was a beautiful month for you Vicki. The Vigin River series sounds good. I recall reading a few from the series years ago.

  12. Wow, you’ve been busy. Congrats on becoming a great-grandma! I hope you have a great week.

  13. Wow, your fave sandwich, a cruise, your birthday and snow. You know how to do it right. It all sounds so wonderful. Happy Belated Bday to you!! I’ve been swamped with work and commitments so forgive me for the late reply.

  14. Such an exciting month! Congratulations on the baby news. And it’s so nice that you got to bring family back to Ohio:) It’s not 80 degrees here, but we have our moments.
