  1. I imagine you’re a great cook! Have fun at the cookout. I’m glad your grandson is better too.

    • My family loves my food so I guess I’m not bad. We may have to put the cookout on hold until next weekend. Thanks, he was pretty sick for about a week.

  2. Happy Sunday, Vicki! I’m glad your grandson’s feeling better. Lovely flower photo! Enjoy the cookout. rain or shine. The banana pudding sounds wonderful! 🙂

  3. Hope the rain holds off for your cookout! I never read The Art of Racing in the Rain when it was so popular a few years ago… maybe now with the film. Hope you’re enjoying it.

    • I had planned on reading it but got sidetracked which isn’t unusual for me 🙂

With the movie coming out I wanted to read the book before seeing it.

  4. I hope you get your cookout in! I love that verse too. If you do look for As Time Goes By I think part of it is on Prime and then it’s also on Britbox, which is where I watch my British mysteries too. ;).

  5. We are hoping for rain here, so send it on over to Texas. We’ve only gotten little dribbles in August so far.

The Art of Racing in the Rain is a lovely story. I hope you are enjoying it. It’s the one that has a movie out recently, I think.

Glad your grandson is feeling better. My dad and his wife, both in their nineties, had a sinus infection this week and were not feeling well.

    Have a lovely week!

    • Thanks, he’s feeling back to normal. I had a sinus infection a week or so ago. Only the second one I’ve ever had. I didn’t really feel bad but had pressure in my sinus.

  6. I’m glad your grandson has recovered. All four of my kids, and hubby have the sniffles at the moment.

Wishing you a great reading week, enjoy your cookout!

  7. So what was your favorite movie watched on Prime Video?

  8. Hope the weather stays good for the cookout. Your flower photo is pretty. Glad your grandson is feeling better.
    Have a wonderful day!

  9. I’m glad to hear your grandson is feeling better. I haven’t watched Prime Video in awhile. I’ll have to check it out. Banana pudding sounds delicious! Hope you have a great day!

    • Thanks, he must be feeling a lot better because I just heard him mowing my sons yard next door and then mowing mine. I love Prime Video, I watch it via Apple TV.

  10. I read the Art of Racing in the Rain years ago and really liked it. I remember it made me cry, but I can’t remember if it was sad or happy bits.

  11. I went to a cookout today too! I hope yours was as fun as mine. Enjoy the rest of your week!

    • Glad you had a fun time! I love cookouts but we ended up not having it because my son’s dog wasn’t feeling well. They took her to the vet and they think she might have pneumonia. We’re planning it for next weekend.

  12. Glad to hear that your grandson is feeling better!

I read Three Dog Life – it was a very well done book. 🙂

    Have a great week!
