Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

From the camera…

  1. Murakami’s book about running was so completely different from his fiction that I couldn’t quite get my head around the fact that both books were written by the same person. He is such a wildly imaginative writer that I’d never suspected he could also write clear nonfiction.

I hope your doctor’s appointment goes well, and I hope your son feels like he is able to undertake a road trip with you.

You must have the storm that passed through here yesterday. Hopefully, it will pass through quickly.

    • This was the first Murakami book that I’ve read so I didn’t have anything to compare it to. I thought it was very interesting and showed a bit of his personal side.

The storm did pass through more quickly than most do, which was a relief to my animals.

Thanks for your kind words about my son and I.

  2. I really liked Inheritance. I thought Shapiro’s writing was lovely. The story hit home for me. I hope you and your son get to go on your trip tomorrow.

    • This is my first Shapiro book 🙂

Thanks Kathy!I need to figure out where I want to go in case my son does feel good enough to go 🙂

  3. Jaspurr looks like he’s comfortable. Maybe the internet has bored him. 🙂

    • Lol! I think the warmth from the fan just made her really sleepy.

Everyone thinks Jaspurr is a boy because of the name but actually he’s a girl.I just thought the “purr” at the end was really cute.

  4. Nice to have a day with a short to-do list! Hope your son is feeling better. Jaspurr seems content 🙂

  5. I’m glad your son is feeling better. I love The Good Doctor. It’s a great show. How you are having a nice weekend.

  6. I hope your son is well enough for your road trip. My Sunday Salon.

    • He’s feeling better today so I’m hoping he’s well enough to go tomorrow. Mostly he’s just coughing and a bit congested.

  7. I hope you can go on the road trip! I need to read one of Pagan’s novels. I think I have at least two on my kindle. Have a good week!

  8. Happy Sunday, Vicki!

I’m glad your son’s feeling better. The photo of Jaspurr by the laptop is darling. I’m looking forward to reading your review of What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, as I read that book, a memoir about running (and more), last month.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

  9. My kids are in various stages of sniffling and coughing,I hope your son feels better soon.Im Fine and Neither Are You is on my TBR list, I hope it’s good.

    Have a great reading week

  10. I like the sound of 84 degrees but hopefully the thunderstorm held off or wasn’t too bad. And hope your son feels better too!

Hope you have a great week! 🙂

    • Hi Greg! The thunderstorms had really heavy rain and winds but didn’t last as long as was expected. I hope you have a great week too.

  11. I finally caught up with my reviews! I hate being behind. Your dinner sounds awesome!

    • I hate being behind too and don’t know what the problem is, I guess it’s not at the top of my to do list. I need to change that though. Dinner was really good, thanks!

  12. We just got a quick downpour yesterday that only lasted 10 or 15 minutes, then it was back to the humidity. Guess that’s the name of the game now! I want to read Inheritance, too. The audio version is supposed to be very good, so I’m considering listening. Hope you have a wonderful week!

    • Humidity showed up here a few days ago and more is coming. I don’t like it at all, more than I don’t like lovebugs! I got the audio and print of Inheritance. I’ve been listening more than reading the last few years so I’ll probably spend more time with the audio.

  13. Your cat! So funny. They do like that warm air. So glad your son if feeling better.

    • She loves the heat, and is always crawling under the covers too. Our older cat does not like being covered up but loves sitting on the windowsill in the sun.

  14. I’m glad your son is feeling better. I hope my daughter will being less stressed now that her finals are finished. The weather here has been lovely, right around 80 during the week but it rains on the weekend, the same projected for this weekend. Happy reading!

    Here is my Sunday Post
