For as long as I can remember my favorite food has been pizza. The last few years though, I’ve only liked it from Cici’s, which I love, and a few other restaurants.

The other day my son and I were  at Publix and he was getting a frozen pizza. I’ve never really been a fan of frozen pizza, but I thought I’d check them out to see if I could find one that I thought I might like. I saw a brand I’d never seen before that had a few toppings I’ve never seen on a pizza. It was meatless and that’s what I was looking for so I bought one.

Guess what? I loved it! I even loved the crust which is unusual for me. It’s Organic Roasted Vegetable, with Spinach, Red & Yellow Peppers, Broccoli and Zucchini. It was so good that I ate half of it that night. The next night I heated the other half in my toaster oven and it was really crisp and still very good.

I’ve decided to keep one or two in my freezer for when I’m rushed or don’t feel like cooking. Right now in my freezer is the Organic, Tuscan Garden which has Broccoli, Mushrooms, and Red Onions. If you can find this brand, give it a try and let me know what you think.

  1. I’ll look for this next time I’m in Publix!

  2. I haven’t seen this one but we also shop at Publix, I will check. I try and get our pizza from local pizza restaurants and avoid the chain type. But you have a point about having something in the freezer for emergencies,

  3. Not a fan of frozen pizza but this sounds good. Haven’t seen that brand in Toronto.

  4. Oh wow. Frozen pizza is usually so disappointing, so this is a really great find! It’s great to have something in the freezer for those overwhelming evenings.I’ll have to see if there’s a Publix anywhere near me or my mom.

  5. We don ‘t have Publix here, and I love my own pizza best, but if I ever see this brand I will snatch one up. Always good to be prepared for pizza emergencies!

  6. This looks like a pizza I would really like. Love that the crust was crisp. 🙂

  7. An online search suggests that other supermarket chains also stock this brand, and Trader Joe’s seems to offer their pizza crust. So your discovery could be useful in a lot of areas!

  8. My wife makes pizza every Friday with onions, peppers and jalapenos. Amy’s makes some good frozen pizzas too.

  9. I haven’t tried this, but I have had pizza from our local Co-op with roasted vegetables and I loved it.

  10. I’d give it a try! I saw a commercial today for a frozen pizza. Oprah was the star pushing it but I can’t remember the name of the company. Anyway, the crust is partly cauliflower. I might try that too.

  11. We don’t have Publix out here but I have some tried and true gluten free pizzas I can pick up when I am in the mood. I like to reheat them in a frying pan. Crisps up the bottom perfectly too. My love for pizza has changed somewhat now that I am forced to be gluten free but it’s still a treat now and then when I find one I can eat.

  12. There is nothing like a good piece of pizza. I never thought I’d love a veggie-topper pizza. There isn’t a Publix in northern California, but I’ll keep an eye out for the brand of pizza. I also agree with you that a quick meal in the freezer is a brilliant idea.

  13. glad you loved it 🙂 You never know about pizza, they are always different.

  14. Vicki, this looks and sounds very good! You could even add additional veggies and spices, and serve it with a fresh garden salad. I will keep an eye out for this pizza.
