The Christmas Forest by Rebecca Boxall

Prologue
Friday 17 November 2917
Enid

Even as she approached the postbox, it’s bright-red hue matching her sister’s winter coat, she wasn’t sure which one she would send. The letters looked identical: the same high-quality ivory envelopes; the same precise calligrapny – neat, inky loops; the name of the recipient and his exotic address; the stamps and the royal-blue ‘Airmail’ stickers. There was nothing to distinguish them at all but Enid knew absolutely that the one clapsed in her gloved left hand was a polite refusal and the other, in her right, said ‘yes’.

The Christmas Forest by Rebecca Boxall”

  1. Sounds interesting. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I wonder how the narrator knows the contents of those letters. Have to keep reading.

  3. Perfect for this time of year!

  4. Sounds like a nice one and that cover is so pretty. I chose a Christmas one as well this week.

  5. Great intro. I love the cover and would read this just for that reason 🙂 Great choice.

  6. Sounds right for this time of year. thanks!

  7. I can’t wait to read Christmas books but I have one more review book for December that I must get through. The start of the children’s basketball program that I volunteer with isn’t helping the reading – I’m busy and tired. This book sounds great.
