Elevation

Elevation by Stephen King

Chapter 1

Losing Weight

Scott Carey knocked on the door of the Ellis condo unit, and Bob Ellis (everyone in Highland Acres still called him Doctor Bob, although he was five yeard retired) let him in. “Well, Scott, here you are. Ten on the dot. Now what can I do for you?”

So sorry about this week’s post. It was scheduled to post last night but it didn’t so it was a few hours late going up. And then when I checked it today Mister Linky was missing. Thanks for adding your links in your comments before I got it fixed!

Elevation by Stephen King”

  1. Sounds interesting! Thanks for sharing…and for hosting.

  2. I’m one if those scardey-cats who won’t even go near a Stephen King novel. I do have to say that first paragraph doesn’t look bad. Good luck reading this one.

  3. It’s Sephen King – so I’m expecting it to be eerie – and scary?

    Here’s my Tuesday post – https://booksplease.org/2018/11/20/first-chapter-first-paragraph-the-twilight-hour-by-nicci-gerrard/

  4. LOL – I’m featuring the same book. Enjoy Vicki and Happy Thanksgiving.

  5. I’ve never read Stephen King. Though I know he writes things other than horror that is what I always associate with him. See what book I’m featuring this week at Girl Who Reads

  6. Haven’t read Stephen King in ages. A few years back his novels got too scary and/or creepy for me.

    Here’s my Tuesday post:

  7. It’s been a long time since I read Stephen King and this one sounds really good. Here’s my Tuesday post:

  8. Technology can be a pain at times. But where would we be without it? Happy Thanksgiving!

  9. For a Stephen King that sounds very very mild!

  10. I’m usually too much of a scaredy cat to read King.

  11. Isn’t King the master of the horror novel? I dislike horror stories in either book or movie form. I’ve seen enough horror and there’s enough real horror in this world. Sorry about your link. I don’t know how such things happen but they do. Glad you got it fixed.

  12. Vicki,

Thank you for sharing the beginning of this book. I’m glad you got the Mister Linky working again.

    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! 🙂
