1. Last week I went to Disney World with my son Anthony, son Jeremy, daughter in law Susie, and grandson Jordan. I love spending time with my family!

2. Wawa is finally open and I LOVE it!

3. Some of my neighbors usually start shooting off fireworks a few days before the 4th. Then on the 4th they shoot them off  starting before dark and into the morning hours. I was all ready for a night of comforting my terrified dog but was surprised that they didn’t do that many this year. Just a few right at dark and then nothing. I was SO grateful for that!

4. A friend and I were talking about how much we love Taco Bell and she said she always gets 2 Spicy Tostada’s and a bean burrito (she doesn’t eat meat). I’ve never tried a Tostada so I decided to get one. Oh my goodness! So good! Now it’s my new favorite thing at TB! And they’re only $1 each!

5. I really love my job but it’s full speed ahead from the time I walk in the door until I finish. I had a few days last week that seemed a little less rushed at times and for that I’m very grateful.

  1. I didn’t know you had Wawa in your area! They’re all over eastern PA but haven’t made it to my town yet. Glad you had fun at Disney with the family.

    • There are a few Wawa’s scattered here and there within a 45 min. drive from my house but the new one is in the town I work in and where we bought the house we’re remodeling. It’s about a 25 min. drive from where we live now.

  2. The fireworks were awful here – I told my family it must be what it feels like to live in a war zone. I’m so glad you love your job!

  3. That’s what it’s usually like here, I was surprised it was so calm this year. It’s horrible to have to go to a job everyday that you don’t like so I’m very grateful that I love mine.

  4. We have had so many fires around here that I think (hope) people were doing fewer fire works because of fear of starting a fire.
I’m glad you enjoyed your time at Disney World. it’s most fun to watch the children’s reactions.
I hope your work will be calm next week, too.

    • I live at the edge of the Withlacoochee State Forrest and we had a fire that almost reached our house a few years ago. Very scary, and very sad for the land and people it did reach!

Thanks, I do enjoy calm moments 🙂

  5. Is a Tostado the same as a Tostada? The California menu only has Tostadas. I love TB. Even with my food allergies I can eat there. I love the Taco Supreme.

My son is still in Orlando but will be home for good on July 26th. He is doing all his bucket list stuff like Gator World, this week and next.

  6. How fun to go with your family to Disney World! We have never been – maybe some day. We didn’t have too many neighborhood fireworks this year, either, thankfully. I have never heard of Wawas. I love tostadas but I don’t think I have ever had them at Taco Bell. My d-i-l makes really good ones. Glad you had some not quite so pressured days at work.

  7. Yes always great spending time with family. For some reason there were fireworks going off near us tonight. No idea why! I’m in the UK. Fortunately we no longer have any pets to keep inside and calm but it can be a real nuisance for pet owners when the fireworks are loud and go of for too long. Hope your weekend is firework free.

    • I can’t imagine not having any animals and don’t mind having to comfort them. They are my babies.

There were a few fireworks set of last night even though it was the 6th, but it only lasted a few minutes.

  8. Gotta love cheap, fast food! I love TB:) We had fewer fireworks here this year, too. I think it’s because the city has really cracked down on them. Fortunately, our dog doesn’t seem phased by them, which is surprising to me. It’s been years since we’ve been to Disneyland or Disney World. Love them both. Have a great weekend!

    • I lived in California for a while but never went to Disneyland. I love Disney World though and am grateful I live so close.

I hope you have a great weekend!

  9. We are going to Disney World in October and I can’t wait. We went last year but before that it’d been awhile. It’s always such fun. The fireworks were fairly mild here. We shot some but always try to end by 9 and normally only for 20 – 30 minutes and really I prefer the fountains that aren’t so loud. I haven’t eaten at Taco Bell in years but now I’m curious about the Tostadas! Have a great week!

  10. Sometimes it’s good to have calm days at work.
