Live Your Life: 14 Days to the Best You

Live Your Life: 14 Days to the Best You by Ann LeFevre

Day 1
Silence The Voices

Growing up, I was never much of an athlete. I grew up in the woods, in the heart of nature, with opportunities to hike and climb and play, but I preferred to read and play piano. If my family went for a hike or a vacation that required some walking, I would always whine and need to sit down and “take a break”. I wasn’t completely sedentary when I was little, however. I got some physical activity when I would pretend to be a dancer or singer in my basement. But as a young child, I don’t think anyone would have described me as “active”.

  1. This one sounds like a good one. Thanks for sharing…and for hosting.

  2. This sounds good to me. I like to read more. Thanks Vicki.

  3. I love books like this! I’d read it.

    Thanks for hosting!!

  4. This sounds interesting! Unable to add my link once again?? Any idea why?

    • I linked it. The only reason I can think of without knowing if there is a message that pops up is that you aren’t clicking the “Check to accept use/privacy policy” box.

  5. I don’t usually go for self-help, but I do like personal stories.

  6. Sounds interesting. I’d want to keep reading.

  7. I’ll bet that opening resonates with a lot of people and who wouldn’t want to read about how to become a better “you”! Thanks for that.

  8. I’d give it a try–most books work on a 30 day premise for change. I’m curious about the two week timeframe.

  9. I can relate to this paragraph! I liked to be outside as a kid but most of my activity involved climbing trees to read!

    • I was very active as a kid. I rode my bike, played softball, swam, was in a drill team & we marched in parades/football games, hiked, etc.

I have never climbed a tree!

  10. I can relate to the paragraph as well. I was not an active child at all. My mother thought I wasn’t ‘well’ or so she told me and never encouraged me to do anything athletic. She was a dear, but there wasn’t anything wrong with me.

    • I guess she thought “better safe than sorry”. A lot of my school friends thought that way too, and wanted to make sure they didn’t break anything.

  11. That describes me to a tee!

    • I was always outside as a kid but now I only like to walk on the beach or ride my bike or hike. Unless you count going to theme parks.

  12. Only 14 days? I’d read it.
