Back in the day, Silver Spring Park used to have a petting zoo and also giraffes. The giraffes were fun because the like to tease the people who dared to close by spitting in their faces!
I do miss the old Silver Spring Park and all the boat rides, the jungle ride, the bears, the gift shops, etc.
I do too Lowell! I remember coming to Florida for out Christmas vacation and I was always excited to got to Silver Springs. I’ve been there a few times in the last few years but there is barely anything there to do. I miss it.
Wow, that giraffe is so majestic!
They are beautiful!
From Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Beautiful!
Yes.
Now I do like seeing Giraffes, they look so graceful
I agree!
Wow! Fantastic capture!
Thanks!
What were you standing on? That is a fabulous shot!
I took it while on the Safari.
Nice wordless Wednesday post! You had a new idea: so many people post trees or flowers!

A giraffe was in the news a few days ago. Trying to remember what the story was about. I read it on the net.
I don’t remember seeing it, I may Google it.
oh my that is an unusual shot and a good one- Don’t think I have ever been that close – nope I’ve only seen giraffes in zoos
This was taken on a safari at Disney World.
What a fantastic photo of this beautiful giraffe. I’ve always thought they must have an awesome view of things from way up there.
That’s what I’ve always thought. I’m 5ft. even so I don’t see much of anything that’s high.
Meowza! We see lots of animals from our many windows that overlook the woods but we’ve never seen one of these!
Purrs & Head Bonks,
Thanks for visiting!

Thanks Mari!
Oh, that’s a very nice picture !
Thanks Gattina!
They are truly magnificent creatures. In South Florida we have a zoo that you can walk up a viewing tower and feed them lettuce.
So close!
Thanks for sharing!

I would love to do that!

Me too.
Makes me want to go back to Disney.
I love Disney and go as often as I can.
Is she trying to hide? 🙂 Yeaah… She can’t!
