My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry

My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry by Fredrik Backman

TOBACCO

Every seven year old deserves a superhero. That’s just how it is. Anyone who doesn’t agree needs their head examined. That’s what Elsa’s granny says, at least.

  1. I have this book on Pippa, my Kindle…I need to read it soon!

  2. I’ve been wanting to read it for a long time and finally decided to just do it.

  3. I love the sentiment in that opening, but then I’m partial to seven-year-olds. I’d love to read more.

  4. This is already on my ‘I want to read’ list and that opening is endearing.

  5. I love the idea of wise words from a grandma. I think I’d read more.

  6. I’d read on a bit more to see how it turns out.

  7. This has been on my list. Really like the opening.

  8. I love that opening. Sounds like a good book.

  9. I like the opening as well. One day I’ll get around to these books I’m sure.

  10. I started this book but didn’t finish it, and then gave it away. I’ve loved Backman’s other books, but couldn’t get into this one. Hope you have a better experience with it and really enjoy it.

    • I’ve loved this book from the beginning. Maybe it was just your mood. That’s happened to me before with a different book and when I decided to give a it another chance I ended up loving it.

  11. I like the opening but I think I would need to know more.

  12. I absolutely loved this book! If you enjoy it, you should definitely read Britt-Marie was here. We see such a different side of her. She was so annoying in this book!

    • I’m loving it too Ann Marie and will definitely read Britt-Marie, and every book the author writes. I’ve never been disappointed by him yet.

  13. I love the opening. I would definitely keep reading!

  14. I think I agree with Elsa’s grandma.

  15. Backman is on my TBR and I’m on the waiting list for the audio of A Man Called Ove. This sounds wonderful! I agree with Elsa’s grandmother completely.

  16. I’ve had this one. Got it from the library. Wasn’t crazy about it. I really wanted to like it. So, I’m going to try it again. I love the title.

    • I’ve re-read books that I didn’t enjoy that much and sometimes I ended up liking it the second time and other times I didn’t. If you do give it another try I hope you enjoy it.

  17. This sounds like another touching story, Vicki.
