Sunday Reflections

79° with so many clouds you can’t see the blue of the sky, no wind, no dogs barking, no kids playing, or lawns being mowed, it’s unusually quiet except for an occasional car going by

For not having to go to work today

The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row by Anthony Ray Hinton

Listening To…
The Railway Children by E. Nesbit

Last  Night I watched Chonda Pierce: Enough on Netflix and loved it, she’s very funny

For some reason the bones in my feet have been hurting on and off for a few days

In The Kitchen…
Spiral Cut Ham with  a bit of brown sugar, pineapple & cherries

Today’s To-Do List…
Computer time, reading, tv, laundry because that’s never ending

One of my favorite things:
My daughter and I went on a day trip a few weeks ago and we stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts on the way out of town. The girl waiting on us told us that most of their stores refill any mug/tumbler etc. for a little over a dollar! I also love their Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissant, and that they have so many donuts to choose from

Looking forward to…
Moving. We had only planned on doing a little work to the house in town but my son kept adding things and now it’s practically a whole remodel

A Favorite Bible Verse…

  1. I hope your feet feel better.

    • I think my feet shrunk (is that even a thing?) because they are moving all over inside my shoes. They’re still in great condition but I think it’s time for a new, smaller pair.

  2. Picture of flamingos is just beautiful!

  3. I agree with Klara, the flamingo photo is beautiful and well composed.

  4. That is one of my favorite Bible verses! Good luck with your move. I wish we had a Dunkin Donuts here!!

  5. Mine too Paula, it makes living in this world worth it. No Dunkin Donuts? They need to get busy building one there!

  6. Vicki,
I had a busy weekend so I’m catching up with my blogging now. I hope your feet feel better soon. (As a walker/runner I am rather sensitive to any foot discomfort.) I hope you had a relaxing weekend. Love the flamingo photo!

    • After a few days they stopped hurting although I did a quick pain in one today. It’s on the top of my food across the center and I have no idea what caused it.

  7. No Dunkin Donuts where I live either, although we do have a great local donut shop. I always enjoy your weekly wrap-up post. Love the flamingos. Is this something you see near where you live?

    • I love donuts but rarely eat them. The photo was taken at Busch Gardens in Tampa, about 60 min from where I live. When I move it will only 30 min.

  8. I want to come eat dinner at your house! I love spiral cut ham but usually only actually get it at Christmas. I didn’t realize that about Dunkin Donuts and now I’d like to try the Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant. I usually get distracted by all the donuts but that sounds tasty! It’s funny how a small house project always turns into a big one! Hope you’re having a great week!

    • Just let me know when you’re in the neighborhood 🙂

They do have some amazing donuts don’t they? My son kept wanting to do more and more.

  9. flamingoes are wonderful birds, don´t you think? Love the image!
