I’m back to regular hours at work so my steps are not as much. I keep telling myself to get on my treadmill, but I don’t. I have to start ignoring that little voice in my head that says “wouldn’t you rather … ?

Daily:
prayer & meditation
deep breathing
stretching/flexibility
80 oz. water

Personal Challenge
At Least 3 Things Each Week
Light incense or a candle when you get home
Eat a piece of fruit
10 minutes of listening to your favorite music
Spend time coloring
Go to a park
Watch a documentary
Listen to a guided meditation cd
Write down 3 things you’re grateful for

Week 1:
1- lit incense

3- grateful for time to take Kaiyo to the groomer, cooler weather, Starbucks Caramel ice coffe

  1. You do way better at steps than me. I’d have trouble getting on the treadmill too, they’re boring.
    The arm sculpting challenge looks tough. I could do it, I think, as long as the weights weren’t too heavy.

    • My treadmill is in my bedroom and the tv in there went out, (don’t want to buy another one until we move) so that’s the main problem with me not using it. I could listen to an audiobook but then I’d just be staring at a wall. I like listening to audiobooks when I’m driving, cleaning, cooking etc., when my eyes have something to do other than stare at something.

  4. I don’t think I would like to walk on a treadmill, I think it would be too boring. I like to walk with my camera and music, I’m always looking at things. I really enjoy walking though sometimes I have to motivate myself.

  5. The only time I do well on a treadmill is when I have a way to watch something. Sometimes that can be a physical book to read, if the print is large enough. I used a computer tablet for a while and streamed video off the internet.

    • I love watching tv while I walk on my treadmill too, but the one in my bedroom where it is messed up and I don’t want to buy another one until we move.
