Sunday Reflections

Daylight came an hour early today thanks to Daylight Saving Time. Most people either like it or don’t at all. I’m on the fence. I like it getting light early, but I don’t like it getting dark early. It’s 63°  now with 100% humidity. The high is supposed to be 82° with little chance of  rain

I should probably go get my car detailed. Or do it myself. No, go get it done

That I have a job I like. Going to work at a job you don’t like is a terrible thing.

  1. I kind of wish we would pick one time and stick with it – the time change is always tough for me. I don’t like the winter because there’s less daylight.

  2. I’m with Kathy… time changes are tough no matter which way you turn the clock! It was nice to have it light this morning, but I won’t be so happy when the sun sets before 5 PM.

  3. As far as the time change goes, it’s a toss up. It’s nice that it’s light when I go to work, but I know going home won’t be very nice because it will get dark sooner.

The books you are reading both sound nice. I love This Is Us. I hope you get a chance to binge watch.

    Have a great week!

  4. Nice photo, that’s a lot of clear blue sky. Time changes, I like it either way plus I can’t do anything about it so I enjoy it. 🙂

  5. Pork chops are so underrated. I love them but don’t have them often.

  6. They could just change it by a half hour and split the difference and never change it again! I just received the book Nourished and am looking forward to it.

    • That’s a great idea! It was rather nice not driving to work in the dark, but my son will have to drive home in the dark.

I’ve got 1 1/2 hours left of Nourished, and I’m really liking it, & I hope you do too.

  7. I don’t really mind the time change. It is a bit hard to get used to the older I get. I like the light in the morning and I like it darker earlier at night. Don’t know why! Just do! I have watched all of This Is Us. I loved it the first season. Not so much this season. Maybe it will pick up for me. I know others love it a lot! I, too, love Netflix. You have some good books going!

    • I was so excited to watch all the shows of This Is Us that have aired so far, and I watched part of the pilot episode and then deleted them all. It’s just not for me. I was bummed.

  8. Vicki, I loved the early light this morning, but will not like the early dark when I leave the office today! I enjoyed reading your reflections and photo. Thanks for sharing the Interesting Finds website! I will take a look at that, and maybe add a link to my blog.

    Have a great week ahead!

  9. Your day seems so busy! Now I am hungry for your dinner. The time change makes my kitties demand food in the morning! And they demand quite loudly!

  10. Thought I’d pop in and say hi. Always like to meet more bloggers. Can you tell me more about your fitness thing? I wear a fitbit that is connected to several different sites, one of which is EveryMove. A while back I did a 30 day challenge called buns, guns, and abs. It was squats, push ups, and leg lifts. I really struggled, but got it done. Then half heartly did some stuff daily, then traveled……….and now, only trying to get my daily steps has been a challenge.

Can I ask why you blog signature requires an email? I’ve not come across that before.

    • Hi Sandy, thanks for stopping by. I used to wear a FitBit but it counted every movement of my arm as a step and I could never get an accurate step count. Now I just use my iPhone, I have several step apps downloaded. I’ve been thinking about gettingt a Moove, but just haven’t ordered one yet. I get most of my exercise at work. I do a lot of walking, lifting etc.

Emails are required by anyone who is not logged in to

  11. I love the blue sky in your photo.
