Have you ever read a book or books you would consider ‘toxic’ because of the effect it(they) had on you? If so, which
Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix. I couldn’t get it out of my head and for a while, everytime I went to IKEA, I was expecting something to jump out at me or be standing down the aisle somewhere. Still, it was one of the best books I read that year.

1. My favorite thing on my daily to-do list is cuddling with my dog and cats.

2. My least favourite thing on my daily to-do list is deciding what to make for supper.

3. I could really do without this rain and humidity.

4. I would love to have more money of course.

Friday 5

How confidently could you turn a cartwheel right now?
Not even going to try that

How (physically) flexible are you?
I’m pretty flexible, except for my left knee. It’s barely flexible at all

How are your Frisbee-throwing skills?
Haven’t thrown a frisbee in years

Which carnival game do you have the best shot at winning?
Basketball toss

How good are you at toss-the-paper-in-the-wastebasket?
So accurate you wouldn’t believe it even if you saw it

  1. The only times I’ve ever made a basket is when I’ve been holding a baby. Otherwise, I never get the basketball through the goal. I always thought that was pretty weird. I guess holding the baby gave me the balance or stability needed to make the shot.

I’ve never been able to do cartwheels, not even when I was a young, flexible kid. Forget it now that I’m an arthritic old lady. 🙂

Critter cuddling is great and so relaxing. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend.

    • I’d love to be able to do a cartwheel but I know my body wouldn’t like it. I’ve seen a woman in her nineties do yoga like she was in her 20’s. I wish I’d started doing yoga when I was in my 20’s and kept it up.

  2. Thank you for participating, great answers. Cuddling with pets is the best 🙂 More money would be great. Definitely not reading that book, I am planning on a trip to IKEA soon and don’t want to be scared. The closest ones are 2 hours away so I rarely get to go. Have a great weekend!

    • The closest IKEA to me is about 30 minutes away. But I live in the country and the closest WM Superstore and other stores are 30 – 45 minutes away. Thankfully, I’ll be moving to town soon.

  3. Not sure if I can think of a toxic book. Scary book that makes you wary of IKEA 🙂

  4. More money would be great. Of course, Xerxes’ principle says that your expenses rise to meet your income. If one is not careful, when one gets a raise one’s expenses go up, too. Have a great week.

    • I think I’d live the same way even if I had a lot more money. I’m able to buy anything I want, I’d just like to have more money so I could travel the world.

  5. I’m not a big fan of IKEA so I’ll stay away from that book. Did you play basketball in high school?

    • I didn’t play basketball in high school, but I did play baseball in school. I played basketball with family and friends and just had a knack for being good at it.

  6. I couldn’t think of any toxic books. I guess I’m not easily upset.

    • It took me a while to think of a book. I don’t think it was really toxic, but it was scary. But I like scary, Stephen King is one of my favorite authors.

  7. I don’t know that book, but the title sounds very chilling. I do get upset when books stick with me in a bad way like that.

Happy Hopping, and have a good weekend.

  8. Cartwheels are a thing if the past!

  9. Vicki, I enjoyed your Friday memes. Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix sounds scary.
    Have a super weekend!
