Sunday Stealing

I used to do this meme years ago, then just recently started joining in again. Yesterday I learned that Bud doesn’t plan on doing the meme after next Sunday. I love Sunday Stealing so I’m really hoping someone takes it over for him. I would, but I’ve got too much going on right now. I’d really hate to see it end.

1. What is your current obsession?
Audiobooks. I’m listening to them more than reading print. Never thought that would happen. If you like audiobooks, print books, music, movies,  and/or games, check out Playster.com

2. What’s your go-to coffee place?
Starbucks. Yum.

3. Who was the last person that you hugged?
My son Anthony

4. Do you nap a lot?
I never used to nap, even as a kid. But I have been napping a few days a week lately. Is it the heat that’s making me tired, or is it something to do with a certain number?

5. Tonight, what’s for dinner?
Not sure, may be going to Skyline Chili

6. What was the last thing that you bought?
Yesterday I found a cute pj bottom on sale, and then I found a top to go with it, also on sale!

7. What is your favorite weather?
Cool, no humidity

8. Tell us something about one blogger who you think will play this week?
l’m fairly new to this meme, after years of not playing, so I’m not really familiar with the other players yet. I do know Bud will play, since he’s the one hosting it, at least for now

9. If you were given a free house that was fully furnished, where in the world would you like it to be?
Right on the beach in St. Augustine, Florida or Montery, California

10. Name three things that you could not live without.
Food, Water, Air. I don’t think that’s what you mean though, so… my iPhone, Kindles, tv

11. What would you like in your hands right now?
The deed & keys to a fully paid furnished house on the beach

12. What’s one of your guilty pleasures?
Anything chocolate

13. What would you change or eliminate about yourself?
I’m 5’0″. I want to be taller. No wait, I’d want to be 25 again.

14. As a child, what type of career did you want?
I wanted to be a teacher

15. What are you missing right now?
My mom, dad, husband and dogs that have crossed the rainbow bridge

16. What are you currently reading?
The New Old Me by Meredith Maran, listening to Bear Town by Fredrik Backman

17. What do you fear the most?
Fear itself

18. What’s the best movie that you’ve seen recently?
Gaurdains Of The Galaxy 2

19. What’s your favorite book from the past year?
Leaving Blythe River by Catherine Ryan Hyde

20. Is there a comfort food from your childhood that you still enjoy?
Chicken & Dumplings, but my mom made the best I’ve ever had

  1. I did Sunday Stealing years ago, left, and then came back, too. I was posting under a different name then…being anonymous, I thought. Ha! No such thing on the internet. I remember the whole family of daily memes the group had going at one point. It was a lot of fun. I’ll miss this if it ends, but I know I can’t take it on.

    • I had a different blog the first time I played SS too. I wish I could take it over but I don’t think I could give it the attention it needs. I sure hope someone takes it over.

  2. I used to want to be a dancer, never mind that I never took the first dance lesson. I think my biggest fear is heights.

  3. I listen to audiobooks, too. They are wonderful in the car, and since we live in a rural area it takes 15 minutes to reach anything, even the nearest little market. You can listen to a lot of talking in that time. I have also started listening to them on my Kindle using Overdrive for library audiobooks.

    • I use Overdrive and a few other apps for audiobooks, but Playster is the best I’ve found. I get unlimited audiobooks for $9.99 a month. You can also add books, movies, and games for a bit more.

  4. I’m another audiobook fan! I love to listen while knitting. Beartown is on my summer reading list. 🙂

    • I’m about 1/3 the way through Beartown, and it’s good. Not as good as A Man Called Ove, but still good. I have his other 3 books on audiobook and can’t wait to get to them too.

  5. I like the idea of not being afraid … of anything. There’s a difference between commonsense caution and fear, and sometimes I think I’m too much of a scaredy cat.

You’re always welcome to join (most of) us over at Saturday 9. I know we’re all going to miss Bud, but it would be nice if we could keep this blogging community going.

  6. We’re listening to “A Man Called Ove” right now, and will finish it on our 8 hour trip to Santa Barbra next week. I love audiobooks. I particularly love the Outlander books so much that if I am not listening to a regular book, I will put on any Outlander book and just listen to Davina Porter

  7. I never used to nap either but my seriously low iron has me knocking out a couple times a day. Not always by choice. The other day the house was so cool and nice and it was 108 outside. I curled up and fell asleep and almost missed the teen ministry meeting. Woke up 40 min before it.

    • I’ve almost missed being on time for something a few times, I finally decided to start setting the alarm on my phone when I start getting sleepy.
