Do your bookshelves have books ONLY or do you also have bookish items on the shelves?
Books, only books. There is no room for anything else.

1. A law I would like to see passed is world wide penalties for animal cruelty offenders.
2. My favorite card game is Spades, Skip Bo & Uno. Couldn’t pick just one.
3. With Summer unofficially here, I want to start going bike riding and go to the beach as often as I can.
4. A favorite Summer memory is going out in our pontoon boat when the kids and grands.
Oh absolutely on number one! That upsets me how animals are treated, it’s awful.
I have never been on a pontoon boat but I’d like to try it.
We had 2 pontoon boats over the years we were married and I loved them. We also had a speed boat that was scary. When you went really fast, the nose would rise up in the air and you couldn’t see anything in front of you. I didn’t like that so I was always yelling “so down”!
I love how emphatic your answer to the Book Blogger Hop question was! lol
LOL!
My shelves are the same way.
So many books, so little space! Even though I have 3 rooms full of books, there still isn’t room for anything else.
The shelves where I keep my fiction books are definitely too crammed for anything else! I so agree about #1. The penalties should be stiffer for cruelty.
Yes, I don’t understand how anyone could harm an animal, or another human either.
I’ve never heard of Skip Bo! Have a terrific weekend, Vicki! 🙂
You should look for a deck, it’s so much fun.
I can’t wait to have actual shelves! 🙂 Enjoy your summer!!
Here’s my response to this week’s hop question
I’ll be moving soon to a house that is 1/3 the size of where I live now. I’m dreading having to go through my books and giving rid of so many away 🙁
Oh, we have a lot in common. I like those games, too. And a pontoon boat! We want to get one when we move North. It is the best way to fish! My law is in agreement with yours, too! HUGS.
I was raised in Ohio but have lived in Florida for about 30 years. I’d love to move back up North though, I miss the snow.
In an ideal world, my shelf would only hold books as well. Maybe when I move out that dream will happen. 🙂
I hope your dream comes true Edel!
Pontoon boats are great. Sort of like a floating patio. Have a great week.
LOL! They sure are rocky if the wind is blowing hard. Can get pretty scary!
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am all for that law. I like UNO too, but have never played the other 2 games. Thank you for the words of comfort you left on my blog on the loss of Snowball.
You’re welcome Ellen. My heart breaks when I hear of someone losing a pet. I know how it feels and it’s a terrible thing to have to go through. Hugs!
I played all three of those card games as a child, but I don’t remember much about them at this point.
I think it would be lots of fun to go out on a pontoon boat. What a photographic opportunity it could be to ride in one through the waterways edged with the trees dripping with Spanish moss. Hopefully the alligators don’t know how to get onto the boat. 🙂
Have a blessed weekend.
We’ve been playing those card games for over 30 years, Spades over 40. Yes, you can take some amazing photos out on a boat. No alligators got on ours, thank God!
I just looked up what a pontoon boat is and never knew that’s what those types of boats were called. XD
Hope your summer is a fun one. 🙂
My husband was a quadriplegic and that’s the only type of boat he could get on. We had to use a ramp for him.
I smiled at your comment about your bookshelves. 🙂
I have a few bookish items.
Great to see you again on the Blog Hop.
Have a good week…I am a bit late visiting.
Happy Hopping!!

My Blog Hop Answer
I have so many books and am running out of room for them. When I move I’ll have to give away/donate most of them. 🙁
Yep, bookshelves need books 🙂
I like your fill-ins. I think I want to join you!
Jemima’s answer
You can never have enough books, can you?
A fun post. I keep all kinds of things on my bookshelves. Hardly any books since I read on my Nook now.
I have a Kindle Fire and a Kindle Voyage, but I still like print books too.
