Thoughts
For anyone wanting to learn how to eat health or to lose weight, this is a great book. It’s very in depth with sections on the different diets out there, what you should and shouldn’t eat, what to eat instead of, nutrition labels etc. There are many charts and how much of what food to eat, and what exercise to do and for how long to burn off the calories of different foods.

There’s a whole lot of information in this book and I think it would be a good one to have around if you are trying to get healthier or lose weight.

  2. That sounds like a good book, Vicki. I have watched as my coworkers go through different diets and always refraining from eating one thing or another yet they never lost weight. Some of the Atkins followers list for a bit but once they wanted carbs again they gained it back.
    Eating healthy and sensibly is the key, like when I was growing up in the 50’s & 60’s

  5. This sounds like it could be really helpful! I’m always nervous about books with the next fad diet, but a really science based analysis of the diets out there already would be awesome.

  6. This sounds good. I like books that analyze the landscape of dieting because it’s so full of pitfalls and contradictory advice — I assume all of it works for someone, but only some of it works in my life.
