ant man

Ant-Man (2015)
PG-13 | 117 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

Paul Rudd ~ Scott Lang / Ant-Man
Michael Douglas ~ Dr. Hank Pym
Evangeline Lilly ~ Hope van Dyne

Armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Recently my son and I decided to go out to eat and see a movie. He wanted to see Fantastic Four, but when we got to the theater it was 30 min. before ot started so we decided to see Ant Man.

I thought I wouldn’t love either movie, but that I might like them a little. I was wrong about this movie. The movie was packed with action and special effects, and all the actors did an amazing job.

My favorite thing about the move though was the humor. My son and I were cracking up all the way through. It was hilarious!!

We went at 2:00 on a Thursday, and it’s a 10 movie theater, but I was still surprised that we were the only two people there to watch  Ant Man. We had the whole room to ourselves. If it had been full I doubt we could have heard everyting for all the laughing. It was that funny!

If you haven’t seen this movie I suggest you do. I think it would be a great choice for all ages as there is nothing inappropriate in it. Its just a fantastic, funny movie. I wouldn’t mind seeing Ant Man over and over.

  1. Hi Vicki,

Whilst I probably wouldn’t pay to go and watch this film at the cinema, it’s the kind of tongue-in-cheek, cheesy humour we would watch on television whilst we were eating dinner and not wanting to speak!

More hubbies sense of humour than mine, he will watch re-runs of Spiderman’, ‘Ironman’ and ‘Superman’, over and over.

I’m pleased it made you smile and glad that your son is able to make time to spend with you 🙂

    Take care.

    • The humor in the movie wasn’t specific to men or women, there were a lot of lines that were just funny. I’m not really a fan of Ironman or Superman, but this movie was plain good.

  2. This sounds like a good one for me to get from the library when it is out on DVD. I rarely get out to the movies anymore . . . too much of a hassle. I know, I sound like an old person!

  3. We haven’t seen that one. It somehow got missed as we vacationed, etc. I’m the big superhero lover in the family and so we usually see most at the theater. However, I’ll be patient and wait for this one to come out on DVD. Good to know that it was funny. I like Paul Rudd.

  4. Believe it or not, I still haven’t made it to see this film. I keep hearing good things about it, so I know I need to change that soon.

  5. I’m a big fan of Paul Rudd and I agree that Ant Man was much better than I expected! I enjoyed it.
