My Goals For January 2015:
Drink 10 glasses of water or more per day
Walk 1-3 miles a day
Strength train 3 times per week
Eat meatless 2-3 times a week


Goals for 2015:
Lose 30 lbs.
Increase endurance and strength
Daily deep breathing, stretching & meditation/prayer

  1. Happy New Year, Vicki! Best of luck with your health and fitness goals. I need to drink more water, and try some strength training. Writing down your January goals is a great first step toward reaching them.

    • Happy New Year to you too! I used to drink nothing but water but I started drinking coffee and pop again. I need to stop the pop but don’t think I’ll ever stop drinking coffee again.

  3. I really like your goals. They are way more specific than my vague-ish ones. I plan on having 8 glasses of water – 60 oz of water. Is there a specif reason you are going for 10?
    I’m also wanting to increase my endurance and strength. Here’s to a great year of fitness! ^__^

    • Hi Adriana~ I’ve heard you should drink 1/2 your weight in oz. of water. I drink 20 oz. bottles of water and four of them make 80 oz., so I just rounded it up to that amount.

  4. Good luck Vicki! Strength training is one of my goals as well. I want to be a little more consistent about it. 2-3 days per week.

  6. Great goals!!! I have increased my water intake lately to try to get at least 10-12 glasses/day and what a difference it makes! I think the key is to start each day with a big glass – it just sets the day up.

    I never got into the whole strength-training, but am hoping yoga will help with that a bit. I’m training to walk another 1/2 marathon this March, so I have some long walks ahead of me – hope it doesn’t get too cold here in NY – I love being able to walk outdoors! Of course, if I lived near a beach, I’d be there everyday walking it!!!

  9. Great goals! I get so busy I forget to drink water so I should make that my goal too. I’ve also signed up for #FitReaders and I can’t wait to get to know everyone in the challenge. Good luck on your goals and have a great year!!
