Sunday Salon

        The Sunday Post

Can you believe it’s August already? It seems the older I get the faster time goes. When I was a kid the days seemed to linger on and on and I loved how many different things I could do in a day. Now it seems like time flies. Probably in part because we now have computers that suck gobs of hours without you realizing it. I sit down and before I know it 3 hours have passed.  One thing leads to another to another…Email, blog hopping, Facebook, Pinterest mainly.

The weather here just can’t seem to make up it’s mind what it wants to do so it’s giving us a variety…which is fine by me. I don’t like it when it’s hot & humid  or rainy every day. We’re getting days that are cool enough that you don’t melt as soon as you go outside, and scattered days of rain.

I’m still in a reading slump, but have been posting pretty much everyday. Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

Tuesday Intros & Teaser Tuesday

Ninja Kitty

Book Blogger Hop

Slow Cooker Parmesan Honey Pork Roast

Review of ♥ Seaside by Terri Blackstock ♥

I’m still reading Another Day In Paradise by Laurie Hanan. This is the third book in this series. I loved the first 2 books and am loving this book as well, but for some reason I just lost my reading mojo. Hopefully this week I’ll get it back and get some books read. Me no likey being in a reading funk 🙁

I hope everyone has a great week!

  1. You have the same computer problem I have, time just flies by and then when I need to do something less fun time just drags, lol

Hope you have a great week!!

  2. I agree about the flying time…sometimes I look back at a week and wonder what I did. Of course, with blogging and reviewing, it’s easy enough to point to the things we’ve accomplished on that front.

And yes…computer activities do suck up the time.

  3. I get sucked into the time warp of the computer too. No wonder I used to read more than I do now!!!

  4. Clearly your reading slump is due to the lack of the waves hitting the shoreline, and the warm sand on your toes. I ran into my neighbor today, I was on my way to church, she was off to the beach. Who was right?

  5. Our weather’s been crazy too but we are finally getting some summer weather. Summer’s have always flown by for me!

  6. I agree about the age/time correlation. 🙂 And being at the beach right now sounds fabulous. Have a great week!

  7. I cannot believe how fast this summer has gone! I have three back-school meetings this week and our classes don’t start until the 21st!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you break free of the reading slump soon 🙂

  8. Yes! Time really does fly and I find myself with always something to do on the computer, which eats away at my time.

I hope you have a great week!

  9. Yes summer seemed to last forever as a kid. Now it flies by! Can’t believe it’s august!! Anyway hope you have a great week.

  10. Oh reading slumps are the worst, I hope you get your reading mojo back soon! Thanks for stopping by A Prairie Girl Reads 🙂

  11. That pot roast sounds yummy! Have a better reading week and hope the weather cooperates!
