Do you bring the book(s) you’re reading with you when you go out? Physically, or in an e-reader of some kind? Have your habits in this regard changed?

There are two things I never leave home without. My camera, and my current read, whether it’s a physical book or Kinny (my Kindle). My habits haven’t changed other than now I don’t always have a physical book with me. E-readers take up less room and are lighter, but I still read more from physical books.

  1. I used to carry around my camera always but I stopped when I got a smart phone. The phone is like a universal everything for me – camera, internet, and kindle. The only think I don’t often use on my phone is the telephone!

  2. It depends on where I’m going.

  3. I use to carry the camera everywhere, but no more, I no longer play memes that require pictures. However, now a book is a different story, I almost carry a book with me at all times.

  4. I like your Kindle name….I named mine, too.

    Here’s MY BTT POST

  5. I’m with you. I go – my kindle goes. There are so many times I’ve been stuck, even for a few minutes, and my kindle comes to the rescue. It’s helped me lose my impatience with delays. Actually, I think I welcome a delay now.

  6. I still haven’t gotten an eReader yet, so I take a physical book with me everywhere I go. Good thing I have a big purse.

  7. In my bag I always have a small book of poetry, a small book of Sudoku and a New Testament.

I don’t drive but I often wait for my husband in the car so I have a bunch of Sunday supplements.

You won’t be surprised to learn that I read air freshener can labels when I’m in the toilet 🙂

  8. I’m pretty much the same – I rarely leave home without a book or my camera. I usually have a notebook as well in case I have to write something down. My BTT:

  9. Ditto, I do the same, I haven’t quite gotten into carrying my e book, just because I’m constantly catching up to reading my hard copy books, old habits die hard.

  10. I always like to take a book along, even if I have to then leave it in the car.

  11. I’m always with a book. My current read is the one I take whether it’s a print book or my e-reader.

  12. Hi Vicki,

My handbag seems to be so heavy already, that I doubt whether I could lift it if I included a book in there as well, whether it be a physical copy, or my Kindle reader. The Kindle itself isn’t particularly heavy, the weight is all in the case with its built in light attachment, but I know that if I were to remove the device from the case … an accident would follow, as sure as night follows day!!
