If someone asked you for a book recommendation, what is the FIRST book you’d think to recommend (without extra thought)?

Without a doubt, the book I’d recommend is:

Zoya by Danielle Steel. Even though I wasn’t a fan of historical fiction, I was a fan of the author so after about a month of trying to convince myself to read it, I did. And I LOVED it. From the very first words I was hooked. Me!! Loving an historical fiction!!! And to this day, it’s still one of my all time favorite books. I plan on reading it again as soon as my reading schedule slacks up.

  1. I think it’s great when a reader steps outside of their comfort zone and finds a book they love.

  2. Not a fan of Steel but I will check it out!

    Here is my BTT post!

  3. I’ve never read this book but I loved the miniseries it was so good. Thank you for sharing!

  4. I’ve only read one of Steel’s books and I didn’t love it. It was a totally different genre, though.

  5. I always tell myself I’m not a fan of historical fiction, too – but I seem to read an awful lot of it, so I guess I don’t know myself as well as I think I do! Never read anything by Danielle Steel, but I definitely want to.

    Thanks for the visit!

  6. I tell myself that too, but the ones I’ve read in the last year or so I’ve really liked.

  7. Thanks for your recommendation.
I had a hard time with this question.

  8. I never read Zoya but I do remember the first book that I read of her’s was The Ring.
